Northallerton 1st team again suffered with five regular players and several 2nd teamers being unwilling to travel away and opting for the 'easy' game at home. This forced North to call up either inexperienced or semi retired players to make the journey to table toppers, and unbeaten Wath upon Dearne. Despite a valiant and noble attempt North fell to a 36-3 defeat. North conceded four tries before half time to a very strong and powerful Wath team who were full of running all afternoon and also very able at defending when required. North's only consolation came in the first half from a penalty from the reliabe Tim Tombling. HALF TIME 26-3
The second half proved to be just as difficult as the first, but stout defending by all of North's 15 players and also the 3 replacements restricted Wath to just 2 tries. One of which came from Wath's number 8 who also got his teams first try, to cap his outstanding performance.
Man of the match for Northallerton went to prop Liam Lincoln who just outshone his fellow front row colleague Dan Luck.
