A very wet morning!

Well done to all our under 8s that took part in the North Yorkshire festival this morning at Thirsk RUFC.

We traveled with 14 players today and managed to field 2 teams, the festival was split into 3 syndicates of 6 teams, and then split down into separate zones any club that had more than 1 team weee drawn into opposite syndicates to avoid them playing each other. The clubs with only 1 team were all drawn together.

Considering we only started out last season, to be able to take 2 teams to a big festival like this is fantastic for our junior section and our kids proved themselves against some very well established junior sections such as Ripon, Harrogate, York, Selby, and Wetherby.

All of the kids put in bags of effort and kept on pushing on throughout the morning especially when the weather took a turn for the worst and the heavens opened!

Myself and Stu would like to say a huge thanks to all the parents and grandparents for bringing the kids along this morning and every week and supporting them, we would also like to say how proud we are of all the kids for the effort you guys put in, your all a credit to the club, well done to you all.

After the games finished there was a presentation in the Thirsk club house and the kids all received a medal, don't worry if you didn't stay, we have got a medal for everyone who played today and will hand them out the next time your down at training.

Thanks again for all your continued support.
